Using Cloth Wipes

Using cloth wipes are really not all that hard.  I prefer them and most of whom have ever used them find them hard to leave after using them as they are much better at doing a clean up job than disposable. I use them for all types of clean ups !!

Tricks to the Trade

1.) Store in a tupperware wipe size

2.) Own / Make a wet bag to carry in your diaper bag for travel ( this is where all wipes will go along with dirty dipers)

3.) Buy a small wipe container for short trips (you know the ones they sell for disposable ones)

4.) Throw all wipes right into the pail with your diapers and just wash!

5.)     In the cooler months , I store the wipes in a container next to a heater vent. This keeps them warm ,much more comfortable than a cold wipe.

My Recipe for cloth butt wipes

Hot water filled 1/2 way in your ( old disposable wipe container or tupperware with lid)

A squirt of mineral oil / baby oil

A couple drops of Lavender Essential oil

Add clean wipes to mixture until full ( store this by a register in the winter it keeps them warm)

You should use them up faster than they go stale as you can wipe as often as you wish as these are free to reuse!!
