Herbal Sitz baths and Water birth herb packs

These are used widely for postpartum birth healing in Eroupe and with many midwives. These are handmade with care and careful choosing of good fresh healing herbs. This recipe is passed on by local midwives but works great. It is different from the one we have listed for free.

The Sitz Bath herbal pack is made of fresh dried herbs of wild harvest . This blend helps to heal the injury of birth and soothe the skin . The ingredients are for after birth only.

Includes :Rosemary, uva ursi , Camomile, chick weed, marshmallow root, plantain, lavender, Calendula, arnica, comfrey , Oats , Yarrow, Myrrh, along with sea salt. This is stuffed into a unbleached hand made pull string style med size cloth .

This is boiled in a pot and poured into the bath to soak in. The herbal ball may be used 2 times per each roll. A pack of three will give you 6 days of soaking.

This is me with my husband using the aqua doula tub and the water birth herb sold here. It will turn the water a tea color. I have small fibroids and was afraid of heavy bleeding but did not experience any thing more than normal after laboring in the birth tub...... could have been the shepherds purse along with all the other herbs??

This is a blend of the same ingredients above except this includes shepherds purse and witch hazel. This is a larger size and will treat a full birth tub. This is place into the tub during early labor and will be ready (hopefuly ) when you are ready to go in the tub during harder labor. This may also be used as your first after birth sitz bath ( just boil it up and pour into the tub) . It may be used for 1 or 2 more baths after that even as it is fairly large. You may purchase this alone or with a pack of 3 of the sitz bath.

You may also use this tea to dump in your pads . Using either your cloth pads or your sanitary napkin disposable pads..
This gives you a frozen herbal treatment for swelling and pain.
Instructions: place water in big pan . Add 1 tea bag for sitz bath. Boil until tea is a nice brown , using tongs dip your sanitary napkins into the tea. Place them onto wax paper and let them cool to touch . Wrap each one separately. These will then be place into the freezer. Use them directly on your bottom when sore.
Making these ahead of time is also nice so they are available at your birth . Use the rest of your tea as a sitz bath.
Do not use this tea before your birth.
